If scripts mess up, there are commands for pretty much everything which will allow you to proceed in such a case. Spawn the car again or try punting it over with the Grav Gun.

I've tried this jump hundreds of times and i just cant seem to get over it. i'm always coming up short.and, I always use turbo. i basically lost my jeep ages ago on a rocky ledge so i kept walking and completed a bunch of sections, then i materlised the jeep to jump this bridge and it's like i slam into an imaginary wall every time. It's not a cheat and it's not a bug that keeps him 100% in the car BUT, you can drive at a reasonable speed (not normal zoom zoom speed) just a normal, calm speed and he shouldn't fall out. Slide the gnome into the back window of the car (hat first) and just release him (not throw! just release) when he's about halfway through the rear window. Pick the gnome up and approach the back of the car, walk to its left, the physics of the game should automatically angle the gnome on its side, just keep trying if it doesn't. Here's what I did, it's not perfect but it's good enough to keep the dude in the car for long enough to not drive you crazy (good luck at the helico escape). Hey!
